About our Services

At Shepherd of the Ridge, we believe in the God Who created the universe and reigns as King over it, yet humbled Himself to be our servant. In our service, we strive to reflect this paradox of awe and grandeur with familiarity and peace, exploring the mystery of the God Who is above the universe but came into time and space, all wrapped in a love that only God can give.

We invite you to come and be touched by the God Who has chosen to know you and love you and wants you to know Him and His amazing love and forgiveness.

We offer two different services on Sunday mornings. We invite you to try either or both and see which connects best with you.

Traditional Service

Our 9:00 A.M. Traditional Service combines formal elements from ancient liturgies with familiar forms and music from the 20th Century, making it truly timeless. Music is typically accompanied by organ, though occasionally by other instruments like piano, guitar or flute.

 a modern lutheran service

Horizon, at 11:00 AM, delivers the same spiritual depth as our Traditional Service but uses a casual conversational style, and our band, Fountain of New Life, leads the music, which includes songs by current Christian artists like Casting Crowns and Chris Tomlin as well as original compositions.

Our services are also streamed live and recorded online.

We welcome all ages to our services and include a children's message every Sunday, and we also offer an optional staffed nursery during Sunday services for small children.

How should I dress?

Some people at Shepherd of the Ridge wear their "Sunday best," while many others come in jeans or shorts and t-shirts, and some come right before or after work and don't have time to change in between.

Family Education Hour

We offer Sunday School and Bible Classes for preschool through adult. Besides weekly and online groups, we also offer multiple classes on Sunday mornings (10 A.M.). Please come and discover what's right for you. Beginners welcome!
