Youth

Mission Statement: We, the members of Shepherd of The Ridge Lutheran Church Youth Group are joined together in unity of faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. As members of His body, we seek to carry out His word, reach out to other youths in our church, community and worldwide, in an effort to share the love of Jesus and spread His word. We currently offer youth group activities for ages 11-18 (grades 5-12). The youth elect officers who are responsible for running a monthly business (planning) meeting. The Youth assist the congregation by working at Pancake Day, the rummage sale, and spring/fall clean up of the church grounds. Some of our annual activities include World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine, and the Ohio Districts Jr. & Sr. High weekend retreats. Additional activities include lock-ins, bowling, working at Second Harvest Food Bank in Lorain County and holding food drives for various non-profit organizations such as the Neighborhood Housing Association and Community Care. During the summer they have planned trips to places such as Cedar Point, water parks and more! Devotions and bible studies are included in meetings and planned events.
